  • Cusco, is located in Southern Peru at an elevation of 3399 meters above the sea level, is the oldest city on the entire American continent, with a history of continuous habitation dating back more than 3000 years.
  • Manco Capac founded this historic city in 1200 A.D. When Pachacutec became ruler in 1438 A.D., he extended Cusco’s territory. This city quickly became the Inca Empire’s main point.
  • Common people were not permitted in the city of Cusco. It was only for the Emperor, nobility, and high-ranking Incan authorities. The only exceptions were the Emperor’s servants and attendants.
  • In the Incas Empire they have 3 principal laws that primarily governed the coexistence of the people “Ama Sua, Ama Quella, Ama Llulla,” which translates as “Do not be a thief, Do not be a liar, Don’t be lazy”. Along with them, there were other important regulations.
  • The Sacsayhuaman is a magnificent example of Incan architecture. This fortress was constructed by connecting massive stones, giving it a maze-like look.
